Jerry Lee Lewis
Pursuing a mostly private life now, seminal rocker Jerry Lee Lewis lives on a rustic retreat in his native Mississippi, wears cardigans and smokes a grandfatherly pipe. When he does step into his rock and roll life, one of his favourite venues is the intimate House of Blues room in New Orleans. Onstage the past comes to life as Lewis's god-given piano genius asserts itself and the 'The Killer' belts out 'Great Balls of Fire'.

Enrico IV
San Francisco American Conservatory Theatre brings to the stage the rarely produced 20th-century classic 'Enrico IV', by Nobel-prize winning playwright Luigi Pirandello. Enrico is an unnamed Italian nobleman in 1922 who has either lost his mind or is pretending to be mad. 20 years earlier, he was knocked unconscious at a costume ball where he was dressed as the 11th-century King Enrico IV. When he awakes, he really believes himself to be the medieval ruler of the Holy Roman Empire. He walks the fine line between lunacy and lucidity for two decades before the woman he once loved arrives on a mission to cure him.

Not all is cosy and warm this holiday season in Las Vegas, as four NCAA men's basketball teams will churn up the hardwood during what has become a December sports-lovers tradition. The early show has Oregon taking on powerhouse Auburn, while the main event features UNLV defending itself at home against Cincinnati.

Black Comedy + The Real Inspector Hound
Peter Shaffer's 'Black Comedy' takes the audience on a journey right into the centre of a blackout in London. Brindsley 'borrows' some priceless antique furniture to impress his girlfriend's father and the crusade to return it plunges his life into utterly hilarious disintegration. In Tom Stoppard's 'The Real Inspector Hound' two snotty theatre critics are about to pan an old murder mystery, when suddenly the show takes a mysterious move and turns on them. Don't miss this 'double-whammy' performance.

Apocalyptica
Four classically trained cellists from Finland play the music of Metallica and other heavy metal bands in one of the more bizarre cross-pollinations in the music scene today. And the crazy thing is, it works. Apocalyptica somehow manages to maintain the energy of hard rock using the harmonious, melodic tones that they produce on their cellos. Their metal cover songs and original compositions have won them the admiration of hard-core rockers, as well as classical buffs and people who just like good music.
