The Japanese cartoon culture is at the forefront of this exhibition. The two-dimensionality of manga and its use by some of Japan's most provocative artists is on display here. The popularity of Japanese animation is spreading all over the globe and these 19 artists showcase this art form with painting, photography, works on paper, video, computer animation, fashion, cartoons and sculpture. This is the show's first presentation outside of Japan.
