Pizza Al Volo

An institution among the town's late-night student community, this cupboard-sized pizzeria serves up hot and tasty slices late into the night. It's fast, thin and dripping with oil, and handily located in the Campo Santa Margherita between two of Venice's busiest bars. It's worth making your way there shortly before last orders if you don't want to find yourself submerged in a tidal wave of panting, food-hungry locals. With a slice and a drink for L.4,000 it's also incredibly good value.
